.history.

Emily was the product of a drunken soldier and a common prostitute business transaction. Soon after the woman discovered she was pregnant. Unlike most prostitutes in her brothel who accidentally became pregnant, she did not abort the child by drinking Moon Tea (super sekret recipe that all but guarantees a miscarriage for some reason) earning her the displeasure of her pimp who beat her severally in hopes of killing the unborn child. Nonetheless, to the amazement of everyone; a perfectly healthy Emily was born. However, being the child of a prostitute was not the girls final insult--she was born an albino. Though her mother could not hide the girl’s eyes, she did start dying the her snow white hair black at a young age.

Emily grew up around the brothel performing various chores around the it; cleaning beds, scrubbing floors, helping with laundry. Then one day when she was ten years old, her mother took her aside and told Emily that she couldn’t allow her to stay, because she was approaching the age where the brothels pimp would soon begin selling her, which her mother couldn’t allow. She was given a small sack full of coppers and silver, the result of her mother’s savings since Emily was born and a crescent moon hairclip. That night, she fled.

For two weeks Emily wondered the streets, looking for some place to be taken in, to work. But she was turned away at every place she went. She was reduced to begging for food on a busy street corner downtown. The nightlife was active and Emily would watch as woman as colorful as peacocks escorted men of privilege. Then one night, while she was sleeping, she was seized by a middle aged woman and despite her shouts and floundering, she was dragged to a large house and deposited in front of it’s head. The elderly woman proceeded to examine every square inch of Emily before finally looking her in the eyes.

“Your name is Diana.” the woman pronounced, and with those words, the newly christened Diana became an apprentice in the world of the courtesan. She was taught manners, the art of conversation, dancing, how to play various instruments, and other things. At the age of eighteen she herself became a full-fledged courtesan and soon became extremely popular amongst many clients. It was no surprise that when the old Mother died, Diana was unanimously elected amongst her “sisters” the new Mother, the leader of her House’s courtesans.

For three years now, Diana has been Mother of the House of the Summer Sigh on the Water. Her cliental streams from noblemen, generals, wealthy merchants, and many more.

She is never without a surprisingly cheap crescent moon hairclip.

.personality.

Amongst her clients Diana is playful, charming, witty, sympathetic, and attentive. Surprisingly, except for the last part she is much to the same outside her job. That doesn’t stop her from being extremely frank and snarky asw well. Diana never skirts around an issue, always cutting to the heart of the matter with surprising perceptiveness as a result of her natural curiosity.

She isn't stupid, however, she knows if she said whatever she wanted in front of whoever, she'd lose her position and business and possibly even her life. She is an accomplished liar who knows when to talk and when to listen. She’s very proud of where she is in her life. Although some would call her a glorified whore, Diana knows she is an position of surprising power and enjoys every moment of it, knowing some of most powerful people’s dirty little secrets.

Diana does care about other people and their problems, judging from how she takes care of and mothers her “daughters”; she just believes that instead of whining about it, people should get up and do something about it.

She also loves getting smashed. Not that she’s an alcoholic or anything.

.appearance.

Diana is stunningly beautiful. Tall, lanky, and well-endowed; eyes are naturally drawn to her. With her being an albino she has blood-red eyes, pale skin, and her natural hair color when she doesn't dye it black is pure white. Her hair is styled in layers, the front cut at her ears, the second layer cut a little below her shoulders, and the rest hanging to her knees.

She has a penchant for reveling outfits, though she never appears trashy,tacky, or slutty. She's also extremely elegant in all her mannerisms from all her years of training, though she is a very erratic sleeper.
